Game Of Six

A popular game in Germany where it is known as Sechser-Spiel.  It is played with one die and a simple score sheet with the categories 1 to 6 and a column for each player. Any number of players can play, but best played with two to five.

  Player1 Player 2 Player 3 Player 4 Player 5
x1
x2
x3
x4
x5
x6
Total:

Play:

Six rounds are played in which each player in turn rolls the die and chooses a scoring category from the 1 to 6 on the score sheet. In each turn, the player scores the number thrown on the die multiplied by the category value chosen by the player, and it is then recorded on the score sheet accordingly. Each category may only be used once. For example, if a player rolls a 4, he can choose the 5s category and enter a score of 20 (4 x 5).

At the end of a game, once all six categories have been filled for each player, the scores are totalled, and the player with the highest, wins the game.

Variations:

Another longer version, known as Toto, is played with scoring categories 1 to 10 instead of 1 to 6. It is played in exactly the same way as the original game.
